Abstract:   (30 Views)
Commercial centers, as the most important sociable public spaces, play an essential role in users' social interactions. This study aimed to comparatively evaluate the factors influencing users' socializability in two commercial centers: Roshdiyeh and Eskan 1 in Tabriz. The factors affecting presence were identified through a review of scientific literature and expert opinions. A researcher-developed questionnaire, based on a five-point Likert scale, was completed by 400 users of the two centers. Data were analyzed using SPSS software. The influential factors regarding the desirability of commercial centers were introduced in the form of 35 components. In Roshdiyeh Center, the components of "adequate ventilation," "cleanliness and hygiene," and "diversity of shops" received the highest scores, respectively. In Eskan 1 Center, the components of "cleanliness and hygiene," "control and supervision," "repair and maintenance," and "adequate ventilation" received the highest scores, respectively. The lowest scores in both centers belonged to the components of "accessibility for the disabled," "cultural events," "active commercial use," and "parking access." The overall average satisfaction with Roshdiyeh Center (3.65) was significantly higher than that of Eskan 1 Center (3.20). In both centers, men's satisfaction was higher than women's.
